    Artist History
evolume began making music with jason weiss in an industrial project called The Snakes are Active. Jason and Steve eventually broke free of their teenage angst and started making melodic experimental beat driven tracks under the name Golgi Apparatus. Steve, having learned much working with jason, eventually got enough experience and software to start cutting his own tracks. he named his project evolume and became a legendary pioneer of music, taking the rock-and-roll world by storm. ok maybe that last bit isnt true but the rest is.

"Steve- seriously love your tracks. I listen to this like everyday, in fact I'm listening to it right now. My favorite track is catnip. I also really enjoy sevenade. Sevenade is real chill with Atari sounding melody, and then its got this calm beat that gives it kind of this contemporary, but like 80's movie soundtrack. Like to the end of Breakfast Club, but maybe a little more digital. Anyways, love it...I think catnip might be the track you were talkin' about that you made for a club or something as a joke, but I really think its HOT! It does remind me of that Blade club scene in the movie. Its so amazing, fast enough to kick a step, but smooth so that you can really groove with a smile. I love how it changes from the beginning hard almost dark beat, then transitions into this Michael Jackson type of "Beat It" beat, but then back into this chill, like 80's movie theme songish thing, but with the dark beat mixed back in it really is amazing. I can see the ravey sound with that like space ship blast off sound. But seriously, did you make this track from scratch? You need to really keep producing." -erika ayres (steve's sister-hehe)
