Artist History
Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, being of
lawful age, 22, I have always had an interest in
hip-hop. At the age of 14, my band director, Thomas
W. Stewart, (An inductee in the jazz hall of fame)
said, "You have a gift and you should use it." So
I went on with dreams of being a hip-hop star. I
started out rapping after High School, performing
in local talent shows. I was loved by few and hated
by many but respected by all. After three years, I
slowed down because I thought nothing was going to
happen. I went on to Stillman College in Tuscaloosa,
Alabama. There I met Joe Stanley of Joe Dawg Entertainment.
Joe talked about a lot of things he was doing and that he
wanted me to team up with him. We did a demo CD and sold
several copies. But Joe did not want to go any further with
the project. So, therefore, I was at a pause again. After two
years at Stillman College I decided to come back to my hometown.
A friend of mine, Paris Rutledge, introduced me to Kevin Houston
of Studio 1509 Entertainment. Every since I've been with Kevin
things have been going smooth. I feel that Kevin and I have a
Damon Dash & Jay-Z type of relationship. There's a lot of talent
in Birmingham but most people act like Birmingham doesn't exist.
So, therefore, it's my obligation to put Birmingham, Alabama on
the map.
