    Artist description
Fender Blues Guitar Competition Finalist- 1997...Blues based- yes. But don't take anything for granted. Yes, a lot of the traditions are represented; but Paul Cummins and the Lion Dogs give the Blues a little "refreshening" too. From slinky swamp to jazzy swing shuffle to drivin' good-time boogie, to sittin' on the back porch acoustic, this debut album covers a lot of ground. Until the end of August, you can get your own copy of "BLUTEUS MAXIMUS" for only $5.99; and if you buy the CD, Email us and recieve a FREE BONUS TRACK. It's a 6 min. Slow Blues and probobly our best recording. It's an EXCLUSIVE not available ANYWHERE!!

    Press Reviews
listen.com's Nick D.: ....Picture perfect late 60's electric blues rock. There's a little CCR mixed into their Canned Heat, but The Lion Dogs can still lay out a blues ballad with class."....mp3Reviews.com: "Remenicient of all that is good and sorely missed from 60's bluesy, classic rock, The Hookman delivers with the best of them."
