Artist description
The Earl of Kildare is a man alone, taking a stand against the stout drinking masses and their boorish lager anthems. He understands that real music is played on the pianoforte and expresses our most profound thoughts and emotions. He is at his most content when singing in his beloved Latin with the choir of Santa Maria Maggiore at his summer residence in Assisi, although he is equally adept when gracious enough to entertain his audience in English. Standard British English, mind, not the loathsome vernacular of the unwashed working classes |
