Artist description
Black Cat Bone plays what they like to call "bone-rockin' blues", an upbeat blues that blends influences from modern blues artists like SRV and Tommy Castro as well as traditional greats like T-Bone Walker and Freddie King. |

Artist History
Originally formed in October of 1996, the recording available here, "You Don't Understand," features the band's longest standing lineup: John Pappas on Guitar/Vocal, Stephen Escamilla on Harmonica/Vocal, Jason Lawrence on Drums and Bob Ternansky on Bass. (Tom Yango sat in for much of the Bass Guitar work.) This version of the Bone played to crowds around San Diego from May of 97 to September of 99. On occasion, founding members Escamilla, Ternansky, and Pappas still take the stage together as Black Cat Bone. But they devote most of their time to other projects. Bob stays busy as a hired gun for several local blues bands and has formed a Jazz duo called "Sol." Stephen also offers his services as a hired gun and fronts his own swing-boogie-blues band. John's latest project is a blues-rock band called "Triple Shot." |
