Artist description Detroit has had a history of music that stems from a complete "fuck you" attitude.A lot of that has to do with coming from a working stiffs background and a no bullshit credo. Earmarking such bands as Alice Cooper, Iggy Pop, and even Kid Rock as reference for what to expect from Detroit music. Something a little louder, a little dirtier, and something you will remember the next day. Saying all that, the band porn family wears its Detroit influence on its sleeve. The band has been around since early 1998, and has always left the bullshit at home, and gave as well as they take. There is a quote from Rebel Without a Cause where a bartender says to Marlon Brando, ; "Say, what are you rebelling against" and Brando says, "Waddya got?" Too many bands believe that they will be signed, or that they are already rock stars. They parade around in t-shirts that look more like disco balls then anything else. After a while all the razzle-dazzle starts to fade, and when those bands play with porn family, you see a difference in their attitudes after. Guitars/Insults Steve Kapo once summed it up like Bruce Lee knows all these great kung-fu skills, but they mean nothing to King Kong…One good stomp and that's it.
