A singer songwriter from Michigan, Lori Amey has been gaining a loyal following throughout the midwest with her soaring vocals, intelligent lyrics, and charismatic live performances. The 24-year old artist has released two CDs independently (Nothing to Say - 1998, Resignation 1999) and performs regularly, both locally and regionally, to an ever-widening fan base. |

Artist History
Won Lilith Fair Talent Contest in 1998 and played the Village Stage at the music festival in Detroit; In addition to all the Lilith Fair artists, she has played with such national artists as Ducan Sheik, Jonatha Brooke, Joe Henry, Pamela Means, Melissa Ferrick, Over the Rhine, and Patty Griffin. Lori's older CD, "Resignation", was the first CD by an unsigned artist ever to be in the local East Lansing Tower Records' top-25 best-selling albums. She just released her 3rd recording, a new EP entitled "Always," in August 2001. |
