Artist description
Come on everybody, get into the Purse. You know you want to, you've always wanted to. Once you enter His Purse for the first time, you will find a zone of comfort, your psychic awareness buffeted by a cloud of bubbles prisming the light all around your naked body. And those bubbles will touch your skin and burst, coating you lightly with a corrosive fluid that digests your skin, but it does not hurt. In fact, it is so, so soothing. Your old world body will gradually slough off and your new gleaming, radiant, platinumized true being will pour forth upon your world, drenching it with a form of light energy so pure that nothing can hold you back. In your moment of re-entry, you will fondly recall the Mary Tyler Moore anthem and say to yourself, "I'm going to make it after all." |

Artist History
During the summer of 1936, catastrophic drought conditions in Lithuania and elsewhere threatened to drive the price of paper plates to previously unheard of levels because all the paper plate trees were dying and a water rights dispute between the Nazis and the Clara Bow Appreciation Society delayed the advent of new irrigation techniques recently developed by a team of burlesque showgirls working for a top-secret government think tank hidden deep inside an ancient Cherokee burial mound 30 miles west of Savannah, Georgia. Sixty-three years later, in the Year of Our Lord Nineteen Hundred and Ninety-Nine, Nathaniel Incorporated and Drew Jacobs formed the seminal Future Pop group HIS PURSE, thus bringing to an end this dark chapter in human history. |

Press Reviews
'Fullstop' chosen as one of 'Bruce Satinover's Favorite AMP3.com Songs of 1999'--"Experimental music as a rule is supposed to be challenging. His Purse indeed challenges its listeners but they do so by turning conventions in on themselves. His Purse does something that might seem antithetical to experimental musicians: They create instantly memorable music. 'Fullstop' embodies where pop music is going. The most Y2K friendly pop song on the net."--Bruce Satinover, www.amp3review.com "FULLSTOP Score: 5 (out of 5) Now this is my kind of experimental. Whether it's vocals that sound like air raid sirens or post psychedelic crunch there's a lot of music here in a song that demands to be heard both as a catchy number but also because of the density of layers and diversity of material going on. The recording is slightly hot depending on your MP3 player so beware. This is heady stuff. Download immediately!"--www.amp3review.com |
