Artist History Ten years have seen his evolvement from the trip hop genre of dark smoky beats and fashionable manic depressive angst to dance culture. The early 90’s saw him releasing electronica cuts under the pseudonym of Censor. Case’s musical catharsis began early in school with his adolescent years haunted by Depeche Mode, The Cure and Kraftwerk’s synthetic sound. A Canadian tertiary education opened up his darker horizons to cyberpunk outfits like Skinny Puppy and Nitzer Ebb. Hip 2 The Hype was a collaborative project involving Case which eventually became a precursor to the successful remixing team, Quadmix. Case’s recent work reveals his desire to stay relevant and abreast of this digital era with several solo albums placed on the information superhighway. With several international music composition awards under his belt, Case is no longer a newcomer in the field of electronic music and its creative process. Just like the wide spectrum of music he has been involved in, he refuses to be defined by giving reasons for his work. Currently, the man just feels happy dabbling in “deep” down tempo grooves from his little corner of the world.
