Artist description
Based in Philadelphia, Amy Carr has successfully spread her music to the world via radio, internet and television. Her music is often compared to Sheryl Crow and Ani Difranco, combining Acoustic guitar, driving rhythm and a soulful voice. ---------- "A wild, untamable, passionate voice" -United Nations Mag. ---------- She and her identical twin sister have written and produced two CDs. Since being released, every song on "Blink" and 'I Divide" have been played on-air. Amy and Lisa are a writing team and have been published in an anthology of women artists and writers entitled “Expanding Circles: Women, Art & Community” (Midmarch Press). They have also written a novel together and recently appeared in, and are writing the score for, an independent film. Amy Carr was a finalist in the Lilith Fair Talent Search and just recently voted one of Philly's Best Female-fronted Bands!!! |
