Artist History Writing songs since 1970, Alberto Escobar debuts formally in 1973, during the IV University Song Festival in Guadalajara. Convinced that songs must be an honest expression form and not just a marketing product, he creates the Canto Tapatío local songwriters movement, which joins several composers sharing those ideals.In 1984 he forms the renowned group Tierra Mojada and recorded his first CD. Since then he has produced another three CD's and the fourth is on its way.
