Artist History
PARADOX, A powerful Alternative Rock outfit, formed in Cork Ireland, in the spring of 1996. Having played the local circuit, establishing a sturdy fanbase, and fine tuning their sound, they venture to the US. where a Recording contract with independent label, Jetspeed Records Group Inc. was secured. Having recorded a truly original 12 - track album, entitled 'Circle of Growth', Paradox returned to Ireland, to make preparations for it's imminent release, playing eclectic live shows, both in Ireland and the US, in turn increasing their fanbase, and the launch of their website, both fine examples of the bands own hard work, enthusiasm and dedication.
Paradox are constantly in the media's eye, by means of international airplay, radio interviews, newspaper coverage, internet coverage and independent television broadcasts, with their debut video for the single 'Infinite'. Paradox have been described by Critics, Mags, Newspapers, and faithful fans from the shows as being one of the tightest bands in their class, Pete sounding like the bastard son of Kurt Cobain and Chris Cornell and blasts out more power chords than thought to have existed, and Mike being quoted as one of Corks best drummers'.
Paradox have now progressed, both musically and personally to a new level of expression, veering away from their previous punk rock/grunge sound of 'Circle of Growth', to a more melodic Alternative sound, that the band have been thriving to achieve since their creation. This sound is captured on their second release, entitled 'Sacred'.
Brothers, Pete & Mike Mac are solely responsible for all the performances on both 'Circle of Growth' and 'Sacred'. Pete is responsible for all Guitar work, Bass and Vocals, on both albums, while Mike perfoms all Percussion, Drums, Backing Vocals, with the addition of Keyboards and Piano on 'Sacred'. They also participated on all production aspects of both albums.
Paradox continue to work on a full time professional level, in a bid to ensure they reach their full potential. |

Press Reviews
Instant success is the only term I can use to describe the destiny of the Irish band, Paradox. With tracks like "Lame and Languid" and "Infinite" these guys are sure to grace the scene with a pumped up version of the modern Alternative/Rock sound.
As I listened I found new reasons to listen again. Obviously Paradox is dedicated to their craft. The mix is great and the power is incredible with a perfect combination of acoustic and electric to please nearly every taste.
As Rock goes I always try to compare one sound to another, but Paradox is not a band to be compared to anyone. Pete's vocals are impeccable, beautifully accented by the rest of the band. Lots of great guitar accents and solid beats put Paradox on the top of my "next best list" and make for one killer rock band. Driven by melody and pure adrenaline, these guys are a commanding force in the new music arena. I really enjoyed reviewing this this band and, all in all, I can't find a reason to give Paradox less than 5 stars. I fully recommend listening to their style and adding them to your CD collection.
