Artist description
Michael Rossa is a dynamic new artist who has been writing music for almost ten years.
An original vocal style and catchy melodic songs, are what make this songwriter stand out
from the rest. Michael started out playing the drums, and after playing with some local bands,
he soon realized his passion for singing, getting most of that drive from such great singers as
Stevie Wonder, Tom Jones, Russell Hitchcock (Air Supply), Barry Manilow, Jon Bon Jovi, Michael Sweet,
and Steve Perry. After picking up the guitar as his main writing tool, he formed the band Vinnicetti
with the intention of playing his original music. The band released ”Ow! Your On My Hair” in 1991 and
began playing Milwaukee and southeastern Wisconsin clubs, gaining attention for their energetic live
shows and great original material. After a few member changes, and selling out of the first pressing
of “Ow!”, the band split up amidst an ever changing musical culture. Sometime after, along with the
former drummer of Vinnicetti, Michael entered the studio to finish his sophmore effort “Long Way Home”.
As times change and music keeps evolving, Michael stays true to what has given him so much reverence
for music, and that’s writing great songs. An expression of contagious melodies, energetic guitar
hooks, and a diverse vocal style, make his songwriting a must have for any lover of popular music. |
