Artist History
The music of ludow can probably only be described as a swirling vortex of sludgy heaviness. A rather amorphous description, yes, but as good as one could hope for considering the band's multi-dimensional sheets of sound. Sound based on tension and release. Tension through dissonant chords and feedback, release by way of power and resolution. Not Metal, Grunge, Punk, nor any other label-of-the-month, ludlow occupies its own category-intelligent expression through cathartic volume. The influences of the Stooges, Black Sabbath, Sonic Youth, and Miles Davis combine to form a sonic nightmare.
ludlow released a 7" single on their own Screaming Pen label, featuring the songs "Trusting" and "Control Freak."
