Artist History Born the son of a Music Professor and Photographer, Jed was heavily involved in the arts. His first instrument became the drums at the age of three. "My dad played drums too," says J, "so the noise didn't really seem to bother him." He began poetry and short story writing in high school which eventually led to songwriting when he got his first gutar at 17. While keeping busy with various drumming gigs, ranging from playing jazz with guys in their 70s to on tour with a reggae band, he kept his creative force on his own material. "Lot's of late nights on a four-track," he laughs, "but that's just another way of saying musical masturbation." Over time he met up with Darren Farnsworth who helped identify the sound in a real recording studio. They are currently working together on a new project hopefully to be released independently sometime in 2003.
