Artist description
We play a unique mellow to mid tone metal. We use a great mixture of heavy and clean tones. Our music has much content of emotioal thoughts going through various people's minds. Our lyrical content constists of a variety including war, minds of the insane, vivid nightmares, general thoughts of various people, etc. Many of our songs were written to have people with different problems understand that there are people out there in their situation. We hope to get messages across to people to understand and respect what people live through or have been through. |

Artist History
Emerald Fusion started as a high school band in 1999. The original members were Dan Creeden on drums, Erik Bothwell on guitar and lead vocalist, and Josh Nichols on lead guitar. Very soon after, the band was in search for a bassist and was introduced to Jason Smith who had been playing alone and looking for a group to write and play with. Then, we(EF) started to connect and really get going on ideas for new songs. We played a few shows mostly covering Metallica songs. Metallica's earlier music was a great influence on us. When we had enough songs that we were content with, we decided to record. We recorded our first compilation, Eve of Despair in the late summer of 1999. Just after the recording, we lost all contact with Josh and could not find a replacement guitarist. We went on to do more shows as a three piece. Since then, our writing has improved much and the technicality of the music has jumped a great amount. We still to this day are a three piece band. Jason and Erik share the duties of the extra guitarist in recording. Possibly sometime soon, we will find replacement to learn our material and help us make our way. |
