Artist description
The music of The Cursing Birds shows stylistic diversity
as well as a commitment to create interesting guitar
textures that embrace the use of effects. Many of the
best songs follow in the David Gilmour/The Edge/Robert
Smith late 80's school of atmospheric, echoing guitar lines,
while also maintaining a gritty edge that became popular in
the 90's. In addition, The Cursing Birds are equally comfortable with the
smart-assed, witty pop song or even the occasional melancholic
reflection.

Artist History
The Cursing Birds are the brainchild of David Johnson,
who is currently trying to build the band from ground
up. Johnson has written and recorded all the parts to
all the songs that you see here, and is in need of a
drummer, bass player, and another guitarist. He is
currently based in Carbondale CO near Aspen, but is
possibly relocating to Denver or Austin, TX to follow
his calling. If you are interested in playing anything
you hear, please contact me! |
