May 16, 03 UPDATE!! Mad Margritts latest release "NEW SENSATION" has been receiving rave reviews here in the United States as well as abroad. They have been keeping busy with touring around in the US opening up for some of the major acts including Great White, who as we all know suffered a big loss several months ago in Rhode Island. Eddie of Mad Margritt remembers TIE LANGLEY as an awesome guitarist and a cool guy. Eddie says that's it not that often you get to meet artiest that don't have a big egos. When all this went down, the local news called Eddie and asked for him to comment about the band and TIE. It was an honorable story, but the club in Atlanta was not happy about what he had to say and have since then refused to let Mad Margritt play at their club. Mad Margritt is putting together a “BEST OF” cd. This cd will have all the Mad Margritt hits on it and would be a great collectors item since their will only be very few made. If you are interested in ordering one, write the band or send them an email requesting a copy. Remember only a small few will be sold, so you need to act now! Some GREAT NEWS!!! Head Bangers Ball is coming back. Mad Margritt are in the process of shooting a video to be aired on MTV popular show “HEAD BANGERS BALL” Keep posted and don’t ever stop ROCK N ROLLING! HISTORY Old School Rock With A Modern Edge Mad Margritt is a four-piece rock band based out of Atlanta Georgia. They released their debut cd "Cold Sweat" in October 1997 on their own record label, Rock Hard Records. Several radio stations across The United States and Europe began playing tracks from "Cold Sweat" and before long it caught the attention of Delinquent Records who offered the band a recording contract. In July 1999, Mad Margritt released their first full-length cd on Delinquent Records entitled, “In The Name Of Rock”. It was followed by the band’s first US Tour. During the 1999-2001 tour, Mad Margritt opened up shows for several noted acts including Ratt, Cinderella, Warrant, Slaughter, Quiet Riot, Skid Row, The Bullet Boys, Tesla, Every Mothers Nightmare, and Pretty Boy Floyd. They were also featured in several national publications including Metal Edge and Spin Magazine. Among some of their other accomplishments, they were voted "Best Rock Band" at the Atlanta Rock Awards and nominated for two awards at the South Florida Rock Awards. While performing at the Ultra-Sound Music Conference in Las Vegas Nevada, Mad Margritt caught the eye of Tom Mathers, head of Perris Records. Tom offered the band a deal to release their next cd on Perris and added Mad Margritt to an already impressive roster. Perris Records has released cd’s by Warrant, LA Guns, Pretty Boy Floyd, Love/Hate, Every Mothers Nightmare, Roxx Gang, and several others. In June 2002, Mad Margritt was featured on the Perris Records compilation “Bon Appetite: A Tribute To The Bon Scott Years Of AC/DC”. Along with Mad Margritt, the cd featured performances by members of Britny Fox, Dangerous Toys, Ted Nugent, Every Mothers Nightmare, Tyketto, Cherry Street, and original AC/DC vocalist Dave Evans. With the release of their latest cd “New Sensation” in November 2002, Mad Margritt has managed to combine their love of classic old school rock with a fresh modern edge that is sure to please even the most critical rock fan. The band is currently gearing up for another assault across the US. "No one will be safe" promises vocalist Eddie Smith, "we're going to give America the biggest kick in the ass it's ever had!"
