Artist History Way back in ancient times four people met in a collision of worlds...NOOOO that's not right. Seriously though...It all started in Hamilton, NJ in the beggining of the 2000-2001 school year at Steinert High School. JT Olcott and Eric Miller met in their 1st period Spanish-I class. After time they started to hang out alot and sometime later they each found out that the other person played an instrument which just so happened to be the guitar. So they decided to start a band! They got together and started searching for a bassist, a drummer, and a singer. After going through about 2-3 bassists they finally settled down with former "Mourning Would Come" member Eric Sabol, as their bassist. Then later on JT found them a drummer, Mario Bartolomei, also of Stienert High School. A couple of months after inducting Mario into the band, he had to quit due to an unmetionable tragedy. Soon enough, JT found CITATION's current drummer, Adam Gray, of Crockett Middle School as well. A little while after, Josh Fell of Steinert High School started playing bass in place of Eric Sabol who is now CITATION's lead vocalist. So that is that story of how CITATION was formed! Currently CITATION is trying to get a gig anywhere they possibly can. And now I guess you want to ask me how they came up with the name right? OK well then I will tell you. CITATION member David Olcott was on vacation in the Pocono Mountains in Pocono,PA about a week after the band formed. As he was driving down the road he remebered that the band was still searching for a name so he kept a close eye out for things. He saw many bazaar names such as Farbis and Undecided, but they still weren't good enough. So he kept on searching. During his long journey his dad was pulled over by the Pennsylvania State Police for speeding. The officer stepped up to his truck and said, "license and registration please!", so his dad did as the officer said and gave him his license and registration. The officer went back to his car and about 5 minutes later he walked back with a slip of paper in his hand. As he gave his dad the piece of paper he stated "I'm gunna let you go this time with a CITATION instead of a 2 point ticket." That's when the name CITATION popped into Dave's head. After returning home, Dave told all the other members about what had just happened and they all agreed on the name! So that is the story or how CITATION got its name! -PE@CE
