Artist description
The Ruffians are a blend of traditional Irish music and American rock/punk aesthetic. We deliver the exuberance of punk combined with the rhythms of Irish gigs and reels by using instruments such as the Bodhran, the Bones, Button Accordian, Flute, Tin Whistles, Banjo, Uileann Pipes and Fiddle with classic rock instruments. |

Artist History
Since 1996 the Ruffians have been performing live in and around the New York City area. Brothers Sean and Dan Griffin head the band, and a revolving list of the best traditional and rock players have accompanied them. Two EPs have been self produceed by the Ruffians: "Naked and Famous" in 2000 and "Together for Christmas" in 2001. |
