Artist History Right, listen up, the story goes something like this... The Hotwires formed in the white-hot heat of the moment (that's summer 2001 to parent-culture society), assembled from a group of misfits that had no choice but to fill the air with their righteous noise or cease to exist. CHERRY BOMB has a shadowy past based in Dallas, Texas. The only information known is that all evidence of her former existence (suspected to include vice and a gambling racket) was destroyed in a house fire. Cherry was able to hustle together just enough money to get her battered bass guitar out of hock and buy a one-way ticket to the big smoke, set on pursuing the only thing she still believed in - rock and roll. BILLY NAMELESS and HARRY STEIN used to be part of soul-punk collective THE ACTION TIME, who released 3 singles and an album on Southern Records. They both miraculously managed to walk away unhurt when the stolen hearse carrying the band on tour careered off the motorway killing all the other members. KRISS KRINGLE originally trained for the priesthood and drummed in his local gospel band but had to relinquish the Lord's call when he submitted to the evil in his heart and began to feel a compulsion to play the devil's music in church. With the four pieces of the puzzle in place, they found a dilapidated garage to rehearse in which they fitted out with a couple of broken microphones and some dusty old valve equipment wiring together raw garage riffs, strangulated lonely planet poetry and a rock-solid rhythm section comprised of equal parts fire and soul. They taped THE RED GLARE OF ROCKETS EP which is a record of their work to date.
