Artist History
From their humble beginnings in Venice, California in 1980, the Prosthetix swiftly lurched from punk to reggae to electronica to roots to metal in the space of four short years. Pausing in the late '80's to marry, spawn, and start careers, the members of the band drifted back together periodically through the early and mid '90's for two world tours, the first in 1990 under the name BOB AND THE BLACK NOTES (adopted to settle pending litigation) and then in 1995 as THE SUITS (a name adopted for reasons which cannot be disclosed under a perpetual consent decree). The band reemerged in the late '90's with the triumphant self-released CD YOU'VE GOT MAIL, followed by the Christmas '01 release of MP CHRISTMAS. The band returns to the studio in January '02; look for a new release soon! |
