Artist description
I started playing guitar when I was 12 after hearing some older guys in a talent show at school. Something drove me to pursue the instrument. I've been obsessed with the guitar ever since. I dream about the perfect lead guitar solo..lol. I didn't really get into instrumental guitar until after playing for 4-5 years or so. After playing for ten years, I decided to enter a corporately sponsored guitar competition called "Guitarmageddon". The prizes were cool so I practiced hard on designing a nice solo and after 3 months I had won a few guitars, a mesa boogie amp and I got to meet some of my heroes like Marty Friedman, Andy Timmons, Blues Saraceno, Reeves Gabrels, and Steve Vai! It was a blast. I ended up a national finalist; one of 8 out of a total of 3000+ competitors. After that was over I flew to Florida to the National Guitar Workshop for a week seminar in shred techniques with Marty Friedman and this awesome Canadian named Dave Martone. Damn, he could play. Check him out on guitar9.com. Anyway, I've been dormant lately because I've been in school for the past 4 years trying to get my Psychology degree. I finally graduated last month..whew!! Back to what I love...Music! |
