Press Reviews
Recent Press: Alternative Press named them on of the 25 bands to take over the U.S. along with bands like The Hives, and The Vines in their August 2002 issue. "Are we in Southern California or Sicily? Actually, neither. Pop-punk quartet Forty Winks hail from Bologna, but on To The Lonely Hearts, they sound like they were loitering in front of Blink182's practice space, complaining about how they could make Blink's songs better, while soaping Blink's car windows and putting sugar intheir gas tanks. It's all here: dual buzzsaw-guitars, speedy tempos, and songs about best friends and better girls. Plus, the Winks cover Guns'n'roses' "You're Crazy" without a stitch of irony, making it a worthy anthem for a new generation" |
