Artist History
Cory started writing songs at the age of 13. The first song was for his first love. The song stank - and as it turns out so did that first romance. Cory grew up learning the importance of hard work, respect, love, and commitment. He writes about all of these things in his songs - which he often refers to as his "diary". Cory has written more than 350 songs since 1990. His first CD aptly titled "Songs You've Never Heard" contained heartfelt songs about Cory's life and the album produced a #1 hit with the driving "ZODIAC" which was the most powerful track on the CD. The more somber piece "Son's Last Remark" was a very intimate look inside Cory's childhood and reached the top 10 on the country chart at mp3.com. His group formerly "Cory William & The Backwoods Band" liked the groove to the song "Modern-Day Man" the best and that song can still be heard when you view Cory's guestbook. The other songs are available only at http://www.mp3.com/thebackwoodsband Since the band broke up in 2001, Cory has been hard at work completing his first "solo" album. The CD titled "Reflections" is a portrait of the many images in life, including love, loss, war, patriotism, childhood love, dreams, and lust. The CD will be available wherever local music is sold in Spokane, Washington, USA on Memorial Day 2002. The CD has already produced 2 #1 hits in the rowdy "Wouldn't Want it any other Way", and the not-so-innocent baseball analogous "She Stole Home". |
