    Artist description
Zerocool is an escape from delusion. Man is not basically good, but evil and in need of redemption. The world appears ugly and chaotic without salvation, but is in reality breathtaking in its beauty. But this true perception can only be realized through the death of self and a relationship with God.

    Artist History
I was originally born in South Carolina, before my mother left my father and for a few years had custody of me. At the age of 10, my father gained custody and moved with me to NC, where I currently reside. In my 23 years I have seen every state but Alaska and Hawaii, but NC is by far my favorite. Before I became a Christian, I was nicknamed "Crazy", a rather uncreative yet thoroughly accurate title for the man I was. I was a drinker, fighter, drug abuser. I lived on the street for a year, before becoming a part of the Straight Edge movement( a militant anti-drug, anti-sex sect rooted in hardcore), but that soon left me as hollow and self-destructive as I'd ever been, just not on the outside. At this point, I began to study different world religions, and came very close to becoming a Hare Krishna at one point. I compared the lives of the great founders of Buddhism, Hare Krishna, Islam and Christianity. They all seemed to be great men who'd done much for the world and the enlightening of beyond the Beyond, but Christ was completely different than them all. Almost all world religions can hold hands and say, "We call God by different names, but in the end, it's all the same," but Jesus said "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No man can come unto the Father except by Me." This, I percieved, was the most offensive, arrogant thing ever spoken, to claim that everyone will die if they don't follow Him..but what if He was telling the Truth? The Bible says that if we seek God, we will find Him. So I prayed that God would open my eyes to whether this was the Truth or whether this Jesus was a loathsome liar who'd caused millions upon millions of lives to be thrown away on His lie over the past 2,000 years, and God showed me. Jesus' life was based upon loving the unlovely, fathering the fatherless, service without reward. What gain would he recieve through such malevolent deception? Why would the One all religions respect as a Man of Love do something so impossibly converse to His character? The answer: He wouldn't. He was telling the Truth; He IS the Truth. And now I strive to be a man of Love, and I hope that my music can reflect that through the honest statement that we are all crying out for forgiveness inside, but if we could speak the Name we would awaken and find our way Home.
