Press Reviews
I respect those who are willing to break away from the pack and create something truly different. To me, these tend to be some of the most powerul of all musical experiences. Again, do not expect the 'usual' funeral doom persona, nor the 'usual' ambient. It is a melding of the two, and done so in a way that I will venture to say reaches a level of compositional perfection. By J. Del Russi for 'Black Beyonds Music'.||
...If you thought Thergothon or Skepticism were the slowest bands going, think again, because this Belgian outfit takes doom to yet another level of absolute slowness and depression. As well as being atmospheric, this music is utterly depressing - it is of the rare type which actually manages to substantially alter the listener’s state of mind... By Metalworks Magazine.||
Until Death Overtakes Me is an uncompromisingly slow and focused voice in the small world of doom metal. Very unique and highly recommended for the most hardened fans of doom who prefer Thergothon-like speeds... Jacek Furmankiewicz for 'Corridor Of Cells'.||
...Bands such as Cathedral and My Dying Bride play speedmetal compared to Until Death Overtakes Me. 'Symphony II' is the ideal soundtrack to a funeral march... by Kurt DeMeulemeester for 'Mindview'. |
