Artist description
Duo from outside of Chicago. Likes to play in venues most artists would describe as less than preferable, even disgusting. Such venues include parking lots, backyards, grocery stores, street corners, and hopefully many more. elbanimoba (2 Words) chooses to use avant garde recording techniques as well, to add to the experience, such techniques include: asynchronous recordings, untimed recordings, backwards timed recordings, and polylocational recordings. We encourage the manifestation of other art forms around us during our performance, so far these have included painting, dancing, and staring blankly into space. |

Artist History
Arrested only once, warned several times. Formed as a side project of the jazz group Entelechy, elbanimoba (2 Words) had played under the guise of the Wasted Indigo, as well as Entelechy and untitled groups until it's formal founding on 12/21/01. elbanimoba (2 Words) often plays with additional members, ranging from broken computers hooked up to speakers to caged animals. While many groups claim that the hardest thing about playing live is to make something look spontaneous, elbanimoba (2 Words) has no problem with this element as a result of their lack of motivation to practice as a group. |
