Artist description
A two man team of Nomadic Poet the Traveler and Ayman Raze. These U.K. residents aim to bring back Hip-Hop to a time when people where receiving food for thought from this music rather than materialistic fantasies.
Nomadic was raised in an era of Public Enemy, KRS one, Rakim and Poor Righteous Teachers. He firmly believes in putting uplifting messages into his rhymes. In his own words he says: "We have a responsibility to our community and the masses. If you're not saying nothing there's no point picking up a mic as you are not adding anything to this culture and are not feeding the children anything. We keep your head boppin' with the beat and keep your mind stimulated with our words.
Ayman Raze is the newest addition to the crew and brings his own unique style of rhymes and beats which can be witnessed on the Planets debut album "The Opening". Together Nomadic and Raze combine to create a unique blend of lyrical landscapes and organic tracks.
The Planets have received much critical acclaim from the ordinary head on the street to the top U.K. DJ's receiving regular rotation on Radio 1, Kiss 100 FM and as far a field as Australia and the USA on the legendary Sway and Tech Wake Up Show.

Artist History
Founded in February 2000 by Nomadic Poet, the label has gone from strength to strength gradually building up a steady following amongst the hip hop community. In an era where being independent is trendy. Red Sea stands firm with their beliefs. Beats and rhymes first and foremost. No gimmicks, no idealistic images. Just the straight raw, uncut hip hop.
Red Sea stands for the reigning of good over evil as in the great books of the past where the materialistic idol worshipers drowned in the Red Sea.
In the same way Red Sea hopes to drown the negative and let the positive reign supreme for the truth breaks down all falsehoods.
In one single line Red Sea could be described as the up-holder of quality, thought provoking, uplifting Hip-Hop

Nomadic Poet The Traveler
Nomadic Poet has been kicking rhymes ever since he was ten years old. Having grown up in urban North-west London he was exposed to Hip Hop, Reggae, Jazz and Soul from a very early age. He started off battling kids in the corridor at school to MCing on sound systems all around London, later progressing to doing shows up an down the country, with appearances on Yo MTV Raps and various other TV Shows
Being co-founder and co-owner of Red Sea Entertainment a label dedicated to the positive elements of Hip Hop, he knows and understands how hard it is to do everything yourself.
As he says, "If you have no angle and no concept to your music you will just drown in this ocean of MCs, its very important to understand who you are and what your represent". When asked to best describe The Planets and his rhyme style, to someone who is familiar with the group, he says, "I would say we're hitting the public with thought provoking spiritual flows and the chemistry me, SonRize and Ayman Raze have outside of the music reflects in our songs. I would describe myself as a visual rhymer painting pictures in your mind, my mind travels, I'm a thinker and that is why I'm the Nomad."
Ayman Raze
MC, producer, all round hip-hopper Ayman Raze joined the Planets in October 2000 after producing and featuring on a track (Tales of Woe). The chemistry between Nomadic, Sonrize and Raze was instant which can be heard on the joint itself
The name Ayman Raze represents the two sides of his personality: The spiritual and the MC. Ayman meaning 'Let it be so', Raze meaning 'Burn to the ground'. Combined this creates a lyricist who leaves no stone unturned on a quest for enlightenment and positive guidance.
In a world where image dictates and success is judged by wealth, Raze uses hip-hop to bring to the light his own and mans weaknesses: "Weaknesses which seem pleasant now but are only passing pleasures. You know, every man has a vice which has to be identified and battled against. That is your own personal test".
Flow wise Raze sees every track as an opportunity to create and experiment with this style and voice. Not shy to bring the truth to the table, Raze uses this culture called hip-hop to expose any weak links and falsehoods in this world. "For every man that is straight up with you there are three that lie to you. It takes a smart man to recoginse the fake from the real. Pay attention to the message The Planets are bringing 'cos it pays to be aware".
