Artist description I have always needed music and art in my life to dispel the drudgery of the mundane. Writing is just something that I have always done. Although I have been grudgingly nudged into a somewhat conventional career; ( I studied Chemistry at the University of Michigan although I was always more interested in Alchemy than Chemistry) I still have a need to write and to create. Writing novels or short stories does hold a lot of attraction, but poetry comes closer to life for me. The task of the Poet is to write about the visions that he captures from out of the air. All poetry is the interpretation of these visions spoken in the language of symbols. I want to interpret and to teach. To teach about life and about the new philosophy. Robert Frost once described himself as a mystic and I believe that he came very close to describing the essence of a Poet's soul. -Dale
