Artist description
Heurotic is a twopiece metalact from Sweden
that redefines the metal genre. It is all about
musical exploration and not at all about
technical skill. The groove or the feeling of the
song is more important than the mind behind it.
That is why we do not rehearse, just record.
Rehearsal destroys the feeling of the song, and
if possible, always the first take of the song
is the take the use.
Besides that, we refer to the term Schwan when
we do music. To Schwan means to play what the
heck you feel like playing. This esthetical idea
was used already in the 50s by the German composer
Stockhousen in his works for tape and musicians.
Another explanation of the term Schwan is to
play by intuition.

Music Style
A bit doom metal and a bit black n roll. But it´s hard to tell. The songs doesn´t have too much in common. |
|
Musical Influences
From the Hungarian composer Bela Bartok to Marduk. Or from Charlie Parker to AC/DC. Almost every band that crossed their path has influenced them. |

Artist History
Both members has played in various bands before they decided to form Heurotic. Their former band is known as Lungspit and Drakirr still plays the bass in that band. |

Group Members
Astarost – the hard hitting drummer and percussionist
Drakirr – the other guy that plays the other instruments
|
|
Instruments
Heurotic sometimes uses too many instruments, for example piano, veena, keyboards, flutes and of course the traditional ones like guitar, bass, drums and percussion. Another important element in their music is the funky sounds generated by different kinds of FX-pedals and mixer tables. Heurotic strives to incorporate these sounds in the music and not just to let them function as embellishments. |
