Artist description Gravenhurst is the work of singer and instrumentalist Nick Talbot, with contributions from other musicians, including drummer David Collingwood. With influences ranging from Nick Drake and Simon and Garfunkel to Red House Painters and Low, Gravenhurst's dark reverie of shimmering guitars and haunting vocals is quietly building a very loyal following. Fusing classic songwriting with the pastoral-ambient tradition of Bristol bands such as Movietone and Flying Saucer Attack, the acclaimed debut album Internal Travels was a split release between Silent Age Records (UK) and Red Square (US). The second album is in preparation and due for a release in spring 2003 alongside a US tour. The album will be a split release between Silent Age Records and Sink & Stove in the UK, and Red Square in the US and Europe.
