Artist description
David Goldman's original music encompasses various musical styles including Blues, Acoustic Rock, Pop/Jazz, Latin, Brazilian and Eastern. His shows also include a few well chosen cover blues songs and pop and folk classics in numerous idioms.
Mr. Goldman's music has aired on radio and he has received Meet The Composer grants and major record label and publisher interest in his original material. Mr. Goldman, a member of ASCAP, credits his flair for variety to three factors: his mixed Italo/Albanian-Jewish background; three years of music and language study abroad in Mexico, Japan, India, Portugal and Italy, and his love for American music traditions.
Among Dave Goldman's credits are performances at The Paramount Center for the Arts in Peekskill (opening for the Rippingtons), University of Maryland, The Bitter End's Songwriter's Circle, Stony Brook University, Passaic County Community College, NYC‚s C-Note, Kenny‚s Castaways, Sun Music Co. & West End Cafe, Rutgers University, Museum of Modern Art, and Long Island Parks Concerts. His shows have been underwritten by grants from National Endowment for the Arts, NYS Council on the Arts and Meet The Composer. |
