Artist description
4-piece rock'n'roll outfit consisting of Vocals/rhythm guitar, lead guitar, bass & drums.
The songs range from flat-out jackhammer rockers to sweet ballads, real all-American
CountryPunkRock'n'Roll, with a twist. The lyrics are like Johnny Cash and Merle Travis
meet the Ramones; the guitars, like Brian Setzer meets Angus Young. Ya just gotta hear it. |

Artist History
Started in 1996 as a 3-piece (Guitar/Vocals, harmonica & drums), the Blind Pharaohs have grown from
a drunken impulse to a hard-working and respected fixture on the
NYC rock'n'roll scene. Lead Singer/songwriter Sean Kershaw has increasingly honed his craft,
while lead guitar whiz kid Steve Irsay is increasingly coming into his own as a creative
collaborator and composer. The rock solid rhythm section of Jimmy Hass on drums and Billy
Arbizu on bass drive the sound like a diesel on full throttle.
Playing up and down the Eastern Seaboard from Boston to Atlanta and all over the NY metro area,
the Pharaohs are gaining increasing recognition with each passing day. |
