Artist History
Singer song writers, Bram Barker and Ross Williams met in 1992 while studying music in Perth, Western Australia. Eight years and several projects later they formed original band, Stone Forest in Houston Texas, where they both continue to "study" music. After losing a guitarist to mushroom induced insanity, Kristi Helberg joined them on violin. Dave Campbell, another expat Australian, chimed in on double bass with Bobby Rundberg, the only Texan, on drums.
Stone Forest recorded a seven song demo over summer of 2001. Originally intended as an aid to shop around for gigs, the band found the CD to be in surprisingly large demand, initially from friends, but more and more from strangers at gigs and through word of mouth. The demo has now been sent to fans in Australia, Europe, Scandinavia, Asia, South America and throughout the United States and is receiving college radio airplay.

Group Members
Ross Williams ~ Vocals, Trumpet, Guitar & Harmonica: Ross is from Perth, Australia and is studying for his Doctorate in Composition at Rice University's Shepherd School of Music in Houston, Texas. Apart from his uncanny ability to produce noise from any blowable object, Ross prides himself on his perceptive nature and is currently working on a theory that some members of Queen may have been gay.
Bobby Rundberg ~ Drums: Bobby claims to hail from Houston, but the rest of us suspect extra-terrestrial origins. Another multi-instrumentalist, we strap him to his throne during gigs to prevent him from grabbing guitars and trumpets between songs. Bobby is a senior in the chemistry department at Rice and, as such, isn't too worried that we'll probably never make any money out of this music thing.
Kristi Helberg ~ Violin & Vocals: Initially from Minnesota, Kristi now considers herself a native Houstonian. In real life she is a senior at the Shepherd School, but her band duties include uninterpretive dance choreographer and bow wielding disciplinarian...
...and we're a very, very naughty band.
Dave Campbell ~ Double Bass: All bass players are compensators and the fact that Dave's particular instrument is so damn huge really begs the question. Dave continues to insist that he's an impostor, even though he knows the songs better than the rest of the band do. He comes from Sydney, Australia - gateway to Melbourne, Australia, and is a junior at the Shepherd School.
Bram Barker ~ Vocals & Guitar: Bram is also from Perth, Australia - gateway to Antarctica, is studying for a Doctorate in Composition at the Shepherd School, and will admit only one of the following truths: i) has been arrested in more languages than the Pope can speak. ii) is strongly influenced by the music of David Hasselhoff.
