Artist History
It was the Anarchy Tour in 1976 that started all this stuff. From then on despite no obvious musical talent I stared writing and playing. Now being a slow learner it wasn't until 1980 that anyone was foolish enough to let me actually play in their band. But the Airtight Garage liked the songs so I got the gig. Once they'd filled the set with my stuff they wisely threw me out, as I really couldn't play. I continued to write for them and have continued to churn them out ever since. Actually managed to get another band together that played in London in the late 80's called Heaven's Gate but pretty much have been working on my own as Menacing Banjo (a wags reference to my guitar sound!) ever since.
Had a lyric credit on the New You's very obscure "Whisper Me Down" single and Brighton bands "The Mood Index" and the "National Game" also used my stuff.
At last technology has allowed me to burst into cyberspace and so here I am MP3ed up and raring to go mumbling and a grumbling. Made one CD so far called "Nowhere Gone" and am current working on some new stuff. So watch this space.
