Artist description
Rising from the ashes of criminally overlooked 90's indie-rockers Idle, leader Will Croxton and mates refined his distillation of punk rock wail and sweet pop sensibility to produce Driver X's stellar debut. Ink 19 remarked "Driver X come out sounding fresh and vital, suggesting a personal and idiosyncratic approach that marks them out from just about everyone else operating in a similar vein."
Known for their incredible live shows (one scenester observed, "like Wilco backed by Oasis"), the band has recently toured the South and Northeast and appeared at SXSW 2002. They're continuing in the NYC area, as well as more Southern & Midwest dates planned for winter and spring. |

Press Reviews
"Super 12 is the new rockroll meteor that has somehow shifted its arc and eclipsed Costello and Westerberg's sun in my universe" raves Bangsheet.com.
Splendid E-zine added "Croxton used to head up Idle, a below-the-radar Brooklyn-based band. In his new outfit, he seems ready for a step up the food chain. It could easily happen, because Driver X delivers the expansive, arena-ready romanticism of Oasis with a true-blue gutsiness that recalls The Band."
"solid proof that earnest, pop infected rock music still lives deep in the heart of New York City." (Billboard Magazine)
