Artist History
Brad Paxton has been writing music since he was 13. It was at that age he taught himself how to play guitar. He quickly formed a rock band with his friends from middle school. They deemed themselves Flying Backwards and remained intact until the end of high school.
When Brad turned 21 he moved from his hometown of Oakland, NJ to Seattle, WA in order to start a rock/pop band with two of his friends who had already been living there. The band - the Grinches - lasted only a year and a half due to personal problems. However, they built a solid fan base playing various respected clubs in the area such as the Colourbox, Gibson’s and the Ballard Firehouse.
Brad's current band, SLEEP STATION (www.sleep-station.com), are busy promoting their latest critically acclaimed release, "Hang In There Charlie." Many respected establishments in the industry have praised the band's latest effort, Tower Records, CMJ and Alternative Press to name a few. In addition to singing and playing the guitar, Brad plays several other instruments, including bass, trumpet, piano, and drums. Some of his biggest influences are the Kinks, the Beach Boys, and Randy Newman.
