Artist description
Vertigo was formed in 1997 by Ian MacGregor and Joe Weston, guitar player and drummer. After a few different lineups that didn't work out all that well, Matt Alvarado and Cory Mickelson joined the band. Matt sings and Cory plays the bass. We usually practice about three times a week. Most of our songs are new-school style power punk with influences ranging from the Offspring to Pennywise, to Unwritten law to Mellincolin. The most important thing to us though, is to keep the music original and reflecting our own strengths. We make a point of not playing cover songs unless we change the style; we figure it's a waste of time to play something that you can't improve upon. We try to create our own style and make something new that people haven't heard before and will be interested in. Please email the band or leave a comment if you check out the songs and check out our other site for more pics and info. We have recently broken up, but you can see new stuff recorded for a film by Joe and Ian at http://www.ampcast.com/noveltyfrosting |

Artist History
Vertigo was formed in 1997 by Ian MacGregor, Joe Weston, and old bass player Chris Fiegles. The lineup changed in 1998 with the addition of bass player Scott Heitman and singer Micah Sager. After becoming quite popular in the local scene, the two new members left under friendly terms for the summer. Then, current bassist Mike Reynolds was added to the two original members. After a short search for a singer Dan tygard joined the band and Vertigo started to practice in order to record and play some shows. Then, Dan and Mike left, leaving Vertigo in search of a new bass player and singer. Recently Cory Mickalson, a sweet bass player joined up with Vertigo and they have started writing songs and preparing to do some shows with new singer Matt Alvarado. |
