Artist History the droll peas started playing on the weekendsafter high school soccer games for fun. soon pounding out song after song and just jamming ingeneral took priority over everyday life.a few platinum albums and celebrity status would soon take their toll though, and the band found themselvesin a constant struggle between popularity and integrity.there were many fights among both the band membersand things went sour. mychal was divorced from his thirdwife and nathan decided he wanted to make a solo reggaealbum, which quickly flopped. mr. e.g. spent threeyears with the bottle as his only companion beforenathan intervened and forced him to go to rehab.after sobering up, mychal and nathan added two more membersto round out the band...dipsy and po. they were a perfectfit and musically proficient. unfortunately,the small, brightly colored teletubbies were attracting too young a demographic and were dismissed.for more details, check local listings for Behind the Music:the DP legacy (sarcasm)
