Artist description
The Quiet Mind Project is the critically acclaimed creation of Rudy Tanzi, a solo pianist who has recorded over a dozen CD's and Andrew Yoo, a talented guitarist. Rudy is deeply influenced by the solo works of Keith Jarrett, the greatest jazz pianist of all time. Andrew is influenced by guitarists like Bill Frissel. The Quiet Mind Project consists of piano solos and multi-instrumental pieces. The goal of this music is to promote a deeper sense of inner silence and peace that that fosters what 20th century philospher, Krishnamurti's referred to as the "quiet mind", thus the name. Part jazz, part neo-classical, part ambient, and part progressive world music, the music of The Quiet Mind Project is intended to provide high quality music and to foster happiness, spiritual peace, kindness, and goodwill in all who listen. |

Press Reviews
-From: Listen.Com - Tanzi is a talented pianist who has never recovered from hearing Keith Jarret's pre-new age jazz improvisations. He creates pretty pieces on the spot and lets them go, but (like George Winston) doesn't utilize swing as a foundation. - Nick D. --From: mp3.com artist spotlight - HOT DAM Rudy Tanzi, the man behind the Quiet Mind Project, is movin' on up the November D.A.M. sales charts with his autumnal mood-music release, "At Home." Tanzi performs improvised piano pieces that he describes as "part jazz, part neo-classical, part ambient, and part dream-fusion." And with precipitative song titles like "Lost Sun," "Rain on Me," "Still Raining," "Rain Rain Rain" and "When Will It Stop," who wouldn't want to try out Tanzi's music this time of year? --Our first recording "At Home" was the # 1 best selling DAM CD on all of mp3.com in the month of November---Thanks to all who made this possible. -The 12/31/99 Featured Song in the "Piano" Genre -- Review: "This piece is moving and full of emotion, don't miss it!" --The 1/03/00 Featured Song in the "Crossover" Genre: Review: "Relax, close your eyes, lay back and enjoy!"--Feb. 2000 Review of Lucid Dream Journey from SoMuchToSay.Com:The Quiet Mind Project (Rudy Tanzi) Lucid Dream Journey : Weighing in at 12min. 33 sec. this is an extremely long download at 56k but well worth it if your a classical piano enthusiast . The recording could be better but the performance is brilliant! A- |
