Artist History New Dominion Bluegrass quickly attracted attention by winning 1st place in the 1987Gettysburg PA Camporee Bluegrass Band Contest in 1986. In 1990, at the invitation of the "Fatherof Bluegrass" Bill Monroe, the band appeared on the Grand Ole Opry and the InternationalFan Fair in Nashville, TN. The band has remained active making numerous festivalappearances annually. The band performs up and down the east coast at festivals fromFlorida to Pennsylvania. The music of New Dominion Bluegrass is a blend of wellwritten original songs composed by band members, and traditional Bluegrass Music. Theband released three recording on their own private label before signing with the HayHoller Label. The band released their first Hay Holler Label recording in the summer of1996, I Just Close My Eyes.
