    Artist description
Thanks for visiting my site! You've probably noticed that my current musical project is creating tunes inspired by the on-line manga/comic called Megatokyo. One of the fun things I try to do in every Megatokyo piece is to include the sound of at least one traditional Asian musical instrument.

    Artist History
I've experimented with synthesizers since building my first one (a PAIA kit synth) in high school. I overdubbed my early tunes by copying back and forth between two cassette decks; I considered a piece finished only when the accumulated tape hiss had gotten so bad I couldn't stand it! I'm very grateful for the advent of affordable, digital recording equipment so that I can make fairly clean-sounding tracks for you. Apivotal musical experience was hearing Ciani's "Seven Waves" album for the first time; before then,I hadn't realized the potential synths hold formaking warm, human music. Other important listening experiences for me include hearing Sasha Matson's "I-5" for the first time, Cocteau Twins' "Treasure", and Jane Siberry's "no borders here". I'm also a huge They Might Be Giants fan but I'm hard-pressed to point to any obvious influence on my work, except in the realm of not taking myself too seriously as an artiste.
