Artist History
James began playing guitar after visisting a neighbors house where a high school band rehearsed. The band's guitarist was a fluent player of guitar rock and blues styles including the vintage Hendrix rig he used. James worked that summer at a local business to earn the cash to purchase the first or what is now many guitars. With the exception of a short period following an accident that left him in a cast for 18 months, there has always been some kind of guitar around to work with. Wirebraking Rituals began as a "dare" while James was a roadie for a Southern California working band. The guitarist for the band suggested that James invest in a drum machine or get some guys together after hearing him play at the bands studio one night after a performance. Shortly ther after James drummed up the percussionist on many of the tracks for this CD whom in turn brought on Tom Johnson the bassist and keyboardist that can be heard on tracks from the Wirebreaking Rituals and Postcards CD's. MOst of the material from these two efforts was written and recorded between 1996 and 2001. James is currently working on his third release. Solo Electric guitar performances are "The Hierophant"," The Photograph","My Red Sombrero (Acoustic)","Empty Palace (Acoustic)","Cheshire Lane (Acoustic)" |
