Artist History Founded in December 1996, Held Down plays under a first line-up influenced by Downset, Rage Against The Machine, etc…After a year of existence and a few gigs, the band records its first demo-tape with four tracks.In May 1998, the band changes its first line-up and is joined by a new singer and a new drummer.The bands line-up is now composed of Stevan (guitar & vocals), Manu (guitar), Peter (Bass), and from now on Dahn (vocals) and Bob (drums).Held Down is a band with several influences such as punk, hardcore, metal and hip-hop music.Held Down tours a lot with several local bands.In April 1999, Held Down records its first CD containing six tracks by Alain "Wax" Butte.
