Maybe it’s the hot Arizona sun that forced them underground, but whatever the reason, both Nick and Joe are ripe with the polished lyrical techniques that define underground rap. The production, handled by Nick and DJ Tnyse, bumps religiously. Their beats begin with super-steady drum tracks, and flesh out with ill jazz basslines plus vibes and piano chords. Even a neck brace won’t stop your head from bobbing. If their on-line offerings are an indicator, their upcoming album “Letters From the Field” will be a winner.
