Artist description
Raleigh Balkanfest is an all-day music festival
to aid the people in the Balkan region
(Kosovo, Bosnia) and is slated for Raleigh's
Lake Wheeler Park on 24 October 1999.
Bands will play on two alternating stages. All
proceeds from the festival and the compilation CD
shall go to Rotary Club of Raleigh Foundation
and ultimately to Peter Gut for his "Give
Humanity A Chance" program. Peter is purchasing
and delivering Swiss Army Field Ambulances to the
area along with baby food and blankets. These
ambulances are badly needed because many of the
roads in the region are impassable to normal
vehicles. More information is available on the
