Artist History
Skyylr is John Earle Lewis. He played in many local bands from '96 to '01 before
deciding he would be best performing on his own. He sold his car and went to Nashville
to record his first solo project in October 2001. What became of the project is phenomenal.
Now with a full length album to promote, Skyylr is planning a full arsenal for complete domination.
Skyylr is complete with a full lineup, however some nights you'll
just find John with his acoustic. Either way Skyylr is unlike anything in Florida and
it definitely won't be long until everyone figures that out for themselves - and appreciates it. |

Press Reviews
"On Tuesday, February 26, Botts Lobby [Jacksonville University] was transformed into a low-lit stage..... John 'Skyylr' Lewis, who is described by [Keljay]
Roberts as 'an upcoming star in the music industry,'
played guitar, piano, and sang...... 'My favorite
part of the program was when John Lewis, Travis
Robinson and I freestyled and sang to 'U Got It Bad'
from Usher. John Lewis just looked at the music
and played it like he practiced it for six months.
He is truly amazing,' said Roberts, who came up
with the idea of RHA Unplugged......"
