Artist History
Flood is a melodic hard rock band comprised of five talented, dedicated musicians committed to writing powerful, emotionally driven songs with a social conscience. Hailing from New York City, Flood has rocked venues such as CBGBs, the Lions Den, and the Elbow Room, and has been named semi-finalist in world famous Brooklyn, NY rock club Lamours Talent Search 2001. In addition to their writing, gigging, promoting, and touring activities, they are interested in raising awareness of domestic violence and rape issues. Flood is currently a musical representative for the nonprofit organization, Men Can Stop Rape. Flood recently produced and performed at the first ever Rock Against Rape in New York City, an exclusive hard rock event speaking out against domestic violence and rape.
It took Lead Singer Rabs two years to find and unite the members of Flood, establishing from the beginning the fiery determination lies at the core of the band's personality. Along with Rabs intense and dynamic vocals, Flood features the electrifying guitar playing of Drew Carlucci, the creative, revolutionary spin of guitarist Uri Rosenberg, who journeyed all the way from Israel to be an essential part of Flood, the charged grooves of Dennis Gratton on bass, and powerhouse Joey Villani on drums. Flood considers itself to be a family, consequently, its members share a house and base of operations in New York City.
Flood is currently focusing its energy on promoting their new CD Inside of Me, and adding more members to their multiplying, loyal fan base. Flood is gearing up to tour nationally in the spring of 2002 in support of their newly released CD, Inside of Me. Flood members are confident that their music, message, positive attitude, and driving work ethic will soon bring them widespread recognition.
