Artist description
Armani Death Machine is an Atlanta based experiment in the genetics of
death-metal, spaced out trip-hop, and hip-hop providing a path for an
extremely tight, brutal new school sound with plenty of Atmosphere and
dynamics. Starting the sonic assault, young drummer Eric Taber starts with
a galloping double bass massacre. Guitars are tuned extremely low with lots
of punch, thickness and bounce provided by Todd Harvey and Kevin Kane.
Bass lines are provided by Rodney Echols, an old school hardcore player
gone death. Setting off all the wicked programming and slashing the 1’s
and 2’s is long-time Planet Psycho guitar player gone DJ, Greg Carillo (DJ
Nyne). All the low end and punch are accented by front man Alex Durkin,
carrying stabbing reality driven verses, eerie melodic tendencies, and of
course, the death.
After forgoing some member changes, this line-up has grabbed the
attention of ATL based rapper, Pastor Troy. Troy is on Universal Records
and has started his own indie label, Madd Society Records. Armani Death Machine
will be the first heavy band on this label enabling them to join what
is called Khaotic Generation, a subsidiary brother label to Madd society.
